This is a painting that implies movement, and is somewhat symmetrical at first glance. I've included the beloved Matilija Poppies, that grown here in my hometown of Ojai, as well as busy bees, acorns from my oak trees and a feather I found.
I love dragonflies, and see a dragonfly every time I go outside.
I slowed down and spent a lot of time on drawing and painting this particular dragonfly, trying to capture the iridescent wings.
