This painting was inspired by a visit to one of my happy places, the Santa Barbara botanic garden! In fact I was there today.
Here is a little Junco enjoying the shade in a bush of sunflowers. I've included a bee and a hoverfly. This has instantly become one of my all time favorite paintings, it just makes me feel good to look at it!
